In the afternoon, Andreas Follesdal, Paul Linden-Retek, Jonathan White, Mareike Kleine and Jan Komarek sat together and addressed some of the European crises which are in their opinion the most pressing and pose the biggest challenge to the European project. Problems like a lack of political opposition in the EU, Brexit or social inequalities were discussed first among the panellists and after a round of reactions, students joined the debate. It was for sure a format which both the students as well as the lecturers enjoyed and it will probably be included in the coming editions of the summer school as well.
