Information on the processing of personal data

The Common Law Society, a student organization with its registered office at náměstí Curieových 901/7, 110 00 Praha 1, Czech Republic, ID No.: 67983146, registered in the public register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague under No. L 8934 („CLS“) as the controller of personal data hereby provides the information on the processing of personal data of the applicants and participants of the academic event View from a Mountain – CLS Summer School (“Data Subjects” and “Event”) and with an instruction regarding their rights as data subjects.

The personal data of the Data Subjects will be processed for the purpose of evaluation of the Data Subjects’ applications for the Event, its organisation and participation of the Data Subjects and therefore such processing is necessary for the performance of a contract and/or for the purposes of legitimate interests consisting in particular of sound management of the Event.

CLS will process personal data as provided by the Data Subjects in the application form or any other document attached to it or sent to CLS in connection with it (such as CV or motivation letter), evaluation of the Data Subject with regard to the decision on the Data Subjects’ applications and other personal data which will be created by or provided to CLS in the course of the Data Subjects’ participation in the Event or its organisation.

CLS will process personal data for the time necessary for the mentioned purposes, no longer than for 1 year after the Event.

Data Subjects have at any time the right to (i) access to their personal data, (ii) rectification of inaccurate personal data, (iii) erasure of personal data if they are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were processed, or if the processing becomes unlawful, (iv) restriction of the processing, (v) data portability, (vi) object after which objection CLS will cease the processing of personal data unless CLS will be able to demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the Data Subjects or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims and (vii) right to complain with the Czech Office for the Protection of Personal Data.
