AG Tanchev: Germany Discriminates Amateur Athletes without Nationality by Excluding Them from the Award of National Titles.
Advocate General Evgeni Tanchev thinks that a German rule excluding participation of non-nationals in the national championships, or allowing them to participate only ‘outside classification’ or ‘without classification’ and not letting them participate in the finals of races and contests, and excluding them from the award of national titles or from the standings, violates EU law. Swiss Federal Tribunal Dismissed the First IOC Appeal against a CAS Award
The Swiss Federal Tribunal put an end to the legal battle between Alexander Legkov and the International Olympic Committee. It dismissed the IOC appeal against a CAS award which set aside the IOC decision against the athlete for lack of sufficient evidence.
