How to get there?

The second huge task that you'll face (after reading the study materials) is actually getting to the venue. Most of you are travelling from abroad, landing/arriving in Prague. That is the part we won't help you with. But what happens next?

Prague is big. And "luckily", most of you will have a chance to cross it from one end to the other on Monday. The Václav Havel airport is in the very west of Prague, while the Florenc bus station is in the city centre and the Černý Most bus station is in the very east. So, in order to get from the airport to the Černý Most station, you'll need more than an hour. But how exactly will you find your way around? It's rather complicated, but don't give up, you can do it!

From the airport to Černý Most

The easiest way...

...is to board the bus AE (Airport Express, 100 CZK) which leaves from the airport (Terminal 1) every 30 minutes. You can buy the ticket from the driver, payment by card should be possible. Get off the bus at the last stop (Hlavní nádraží, after cca 33 minuted), find a metro station, buy a ticket and board the metro (red line C, direction Letňany) -> switch to yellow line B at the next stop (Florenc, in the direction Černý Most). This option should take approximately 1 hour, but you will have the opportunity to see the Prague centre from the bus.

The cheapest way...

...is the same as "the easiest way", with only one difference: instead of taking the Airport Express bus, you take the public transport (line No. 119), which makes more stops. Exit the bus at station Nádraží Veleslavín and board the metro (green line A, direction Nádraží Hostivař) -> switch to yellow line B at Můstek and board the train in the direction Černý Most. This way takes a little over an hour. You can buy the ticket (40 CZK for 90 minutes) from the driver and it is valid for the metro also, so no problems with that.

The quickest way...

... is to use taxi. If you do not want to use a public transport for some reason, you can get a taxi. We recommend use of Uber mobile app, as you will know transport's price before you agree with the transport. The price of a ride from the airport to Černý most may vary indepence to the traffic from 600 to 1300 CZK.

From the train station to Černý Most

This is a little bit more simple. You arrive to Hlavní nádraží (the Prague main station), you buy your metro ticket (30 CZK for 30 minutes), board the red metro (line C, direction Letňany) and switch at the first stop (Florenc, after 1 minute) to the yellow metro (line B, direction Černý Most). You should be there in less than 30 minutes. You will need the 40 CZK metro ticket to be on the safe side.

In any case, you can find all the transport schedules here.  The names of the stops are as follows:

Terminál 1, Terminál 2 = the airport

Hlavní nádraží = the train station

Florenc = transfer station C line -> B line

Můstek = transfer station A line -> B line

Černý Most = the bus station

You can also find some useful information at the airport website

From Černý Most to Špindlerův Mlýn

When you exit the metro, walk down one filght of stairs. The buses should all be departing form the stop number 2 (but there might be some unexpected change). It is highly recomended to take the buses without extra transfers (highlighted connections in the pdf file below). The bus should cost about 10 EUR (up to 250 CZK). You can buy some of the tickets online, otherwise you can buy the from the bus driver. You can search for the actual bus schedules on this website or you can also find them and the bottom of this page.
