we hope that you are well and safe. In recent weeks, our team monitored closely the situation around the Covid 19 pandemic. We discussed the developments often and tried to keep our hopes up for as long as possible. Even though the Czech Republic is not hit severely by the pandemic and the restrictions are starting to be lifted, we eventually had to conclude that it will not be possible to hold the Summer School this year. We are obviously disappointed that things turned out this way. Given the circumstances, particularly the difficulty of international travel, a compulsory quarantine for those who enter the Czech Republic and ultimately the concern of your (and our) health lead us to the decision that the postponement of the Summer School to the next year is the reasonable thing to do. We hope that you understand.
Nevertheless, we are glad that so many of you chose to apply and (as announced in the email which you, applicants, received) we will, if you remain interested in the topic, keep your registration open for the next year. We are also leaving the application form on our website open so anyone can still apply further down the line. A smaller block of online seminars with some of our lecturers is also being prepared and everyone is invited to participate. We will share more details with you about that soon.
